# iagctl delete secret-provider

Gateway 5.5+

Remove a secret provider configuration from Itential Gateway and evict any cached connection from the provider registry.

> **Warning**
>
> Any secret aliases that reference this provider will fail to resolve after you delete the provider. Update or remove those aliases before deleting the provider.

## Syntax

iagctl delete secret-provider <name>
```
